Welcome to the Bath and District SI Website
I’m Jenny James, the current President of Bath and District Soroptimists and proud to be the President of our Club. I first joined Soroptimists in 2008 due to looking for an empathetic meaningful part of life. I have lived in Stoke Gifford since 2001, am married to Nigel, and owner of 6 cats – all rescued. I have been active in setting up a number of local community initiatives including two Neighbourhood Watch groups and Friends of Stoke Gifford Play Parks. She volunteers in a local charity shop, for the Bath and District Samaritans and I am also a Church Warden. Jenny works as an early morning key holder for a youth project, advocate and also in the security industry. She enjoys reading, genealogy, politics, historical research and pub quizzes.
Bath and District S.I. is a friendly, active and motivated group of women of all ages who use our skills, experiences and talents to improve the lives of women and girls. We’re from all sorts of backgrounds, united in a determination to make a difference.
Our main activities are raising awareness, practical help, fundraising and lobbying.
We meet on the 3rd Wednesday of every month and are always looking for new members. Please take a look at our website and get in touch. We’d love to hear from you
Soroptimists are women who come from a wide diversity of cultures and circumstances, and are dedicated to a unity of ideals:
