Members from our club enjoyed observing girls from a variety of schools learning more about STEM subjects in Weston-super-Mare. There were leading science lecturers from local universities and representatives from local engineering firms encouraging the girls to engineer ideas of their own.
Talk by the Great Western Air Ambulance
June 21, 2018Phil West from the Great Western Air Ambulance gave a talk about the charity at our club meeting on 20th June. The work that the charity does is truly amazing and welcomes any donated money especially as the charity is not supported by the government or lthe National lottery. We presented Phil with a cheque.
Enjoying our Regional AGM in Tiverton
June 16, 2018Nearly 90 ladies enjoyed a wonderful regional AGM today and learnt so much about plastic, anti-human trafficking and slavery, the RNLI and ‘First Women” photographed by Anita Corbin and soon to be an exhibition in London. Coming together at these meetings is such fun and friendships and established.

June 9, 2018It was a perfect day for a bucket collection outside Prior Park Garden Centre on June 9th. All proceeds will go to the RUH Breast cancer Unit. 
Towels and bedding delivered for the Women’s Refuge in Bath
May 17, 2018More bedding and towels were given to Cathy Adcock from Julian House today so that she can distribute them to the ladies and families at the Women’s Refuge. Julian House has taken over the running of the Refuge which is going very well.

May 16, 2018This is the message that club member Fiona was telling us tonight at our club meeting when she explained to us how to prevent a stroke and what to do if you are with someone when a stroke may be occurring. Purple is the colour of the Stroke Association.

Helping out for the RUH ‘Walk for Life’
May 14, 2018It was a pleasure to help out again at the RUH Forever Friends Appeal ‘Walk for Life’ event on Saturday. 500 walkers took part, some walking the full 26.2 miles from Bishop Cannings finishing up at the Holburne Gallery.We were marshalling along the canal towards the end of the walk.Well done to everyone that took part.
