A good time was had by all that attended the South West and Channel Islands’s conference and AGM. Interesting speakers and a good flow of wine!
Bucket collection for the Genesis Trust
May 29, 2017Members of the club took it in turns to hold out a bucket to raise funds for the Genesis Trust charity at Prior Park Garden Centre on Saturday 27th May. Fortunately the weather held up and we got a very positive response from the public.
Another Inspirational Regional Meeting

We had some inspirational speakers including Clare Gollop who is the Strategic Knowledge and Insight Leader on Trafficking , Devon and Cornwall Police and 2 ladies who represent our organisation at the UN

World Book Day

This is the day to encourage everyone to read a book or give one away to somebody to read for themselves. Education is the key to ending world poverty.
Successful Fairtrade Coffee morning
March 1, 2017Friends and club members came together at President Gillian’s annual Fairtrade coffee morning on 25th February at the President’s lovely home. Money raised that morning also went to the Macmillan Nurses so £170 will be shared between the 2 charities. Many thanks for all the cake donations and help from members and to all the people that supported the morning.

Presentation of Cheque to the RUH Your local CancerCare Fundraising Group
February 28, 2017Club member Diane presented a cheque to Bev Viveash from the RUH Your local Cancer Care Fundraising Group after a chair yoga class at Bowles Court in Chippenham . Diane took the class in December and the residents raised £117 . Bev was delighted with the donation and was
happy to meet the residents who live at Bowles Court.

It’s always good to meet up with other clubs in our region and celebrate a wonderful milestone. The Manor by the Lake was exquisite in beautiful surroundings with a wonderful meal and speaker to follow.
Presentation of cheque and blankets to Julian House
February 23, 2017President Gillian and Diane visited Julian House in Bath and presented a cheque for £160 raised from our annual quiz night. Cathy Adcock from Julian House was delighted to receive the gifts.
