President Diane visited Lydia McGivern at the RUH to present the rosettes crocheted by members of the club. These rosettes will be decorated on the lamp posts down Milsom street and sponsored by Mulberry who will donate money to the Forever Friends Appeal for every lamp post that is decorated.

A lovely young lady called Alice came to talk to our group about the debilitating disease endometriosis. What an inspiration she was and we learnt so much about the nature of the disease and the fact that I can affect teenagers as well as older women. More importantly it needs to be spoken about and should not be a taboo subject. We should be looking at more ways of highlighting this awful disease.

Meeting Alice and learning about endometriosis
President Diane gave her time to teach a gentle yoga class to willing volunteers and managed to raise £100 for helping post grad Holly to take a trip to Nepal later this year.
Holly’s task will be to help families start up their own businesses and educate young girls, Part of the International Citizen Organisation, something we Soroptimists feel very strongly about. Holly will be coming to our meeting this January and then later on in the year when she returns.

Yogis at the ready!
the best bit at the end!
Thanks to everyone that took part. It really was a fun way to raise money.
